What Walt Disney World resort hotel should i stay in?

I am going to Disney World with my boyfriend for my birthday weekend in the fall and I want to know what resort hotel I should stay at. I want to stay at one that wont give me a headache with all the decor but I am open to everyone's opinions. What Walt Disney World resort hotel should i stay in?
First, Choose your budget.

Value Resorts: I think POP Century is great. It is brightly colored, fun retro themes. Your room is basic, not too bright %26amp; very small. This is where my fiance %26amp; I stay when we go. We are able to get the perks of staying on property and have longer trips than if we stayed at the more expensive resorts.

Moderate: I've heard from my brother %26amp; sister-in-law that Port Orleans is great. They stayed there on their honeymoon %26amp; loved it. Much milder on the brightness scale than the Value resorts.

Deluxe: As much as I would love to stay at Animal Kingdom, I don't think I would because it is so far from most of the parks. I would choose one of the parks that is attached to the monorail system so that you will have easy access to MK %26amp; Epcot. Grand Floridian is beautiful and would be my first choice if I was looking for romance.

Have fun! What Walt Disney World resort hotel should i stay in?
Well, there are tons of hotels to stay at, right inside Disney! You can stay at a Disney-themed hotel, or one run by a hotel chain(Like a Sheraton).

Since it's just you and your boyfriend, I would avoid staying at any of the value resorts, because it will be families for the most part.

A step up is the moderate resorts - so you could try something like the Port Orleans French Quarter. It starts at $149, and it will still be full of families (of course because it's Disney), but it's probably quieter.

If you have the money, go for a Deluxe Resort. Your only going for the weekend, it will be just you and your boyfriend and it'll be kinda romantic if you make it that way. You could try Disney's Wilderness Lodge, or the Polynesian Resort.

Of course, there are tons of hotels that aren't Disney, like the Swan, or the Dolphin. They are both very very nice.

I believe there is a Best Western on the grounds as well, and a couple others.

try going to www.allears.net, they probably have a complete listing of all the hotels you can stay at.

Have a great time!
There are many great disney hotels. Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, and Riverside have always been my favorites. They are family resorts. A lot of people come to these resorts with families, and kids but a lot quieter than the All star resorts. All star resorts,(Music, Sports, Movies, Pop Century) are the cheapest, but they can get very crowded, and if your idea was not to have a ton of kids there, this would not be for you. There are also the more higher scale looking hotels like the Beach and Yacht Club resorts, and the Boardwalk. If you don't mind not staying in a Disney hotel, Swan and Dolphin are options. They are still on Disney property, but not a disney resort. They still have transportation to all the disney parks. I'm not sure if is as often as if you were to stay at a disney hotel, but if you stay at a disney resort, buses come every 15 min. I would recommend not staying off disney property. Even the hotels that have transportation back and forth to the parks, they aren't as frequent, and it becomes a real inconvenience.

I hope I helped you out.
Well, if you stay at a hotel off Disney property, you won't have all the extreme decor of Disney hotels, but you won't get the perks of staying on property (for example, you can't partake in late-nights or early mornings at the parks or have complimentary Disney transportation from the airport. You also can't get the Disney Dining Plan, which I reccomend for any Disney traveler. It's your call)

As for in the World, I highly reccomend NOT staying at these hotels if you want something more basic:

Any hotel starting with ';All Star';

Pop Century

Port Orleans French Quarter (most of the horrid decorations come from the cafeteria and pool, so this one's your call)

Polynesian (Highly-themed and not worth your money)

Grand Floridian (Way too frilly and costly, unless you don't mind that)

Boardwalk

Fort Wilderness Camp Grounds (consists of a highly popular and annoying dinner show, resulting in tons of noise!)

Animal Kingdom Lodge

These hotels don't have as many frills, but some are costly:

Contemproary (my personal top choice with great views and a simple decor)

Wilderness Lodge

Carribean Beach (FYI, not the top choice for the best shower heads)

Coronado Springs

Bonnet Creek

Swan

Dolphin (this, Dolphin, and Bonnet Creek aren't owned by Disney, so ther'll be no Mickey at all)

Yacht Club

Beach Club (this and Yacht Club are very costly, but they have a great location and an amazing pool)

Port Orleans Riverside

I hope this bit of info helped and enjoy your trip!

**EDIT**

Vacation Club Resorts are only by membership and a lot of times consist of owning timeshares. These include the Keystone Resort and Saratoga Springs(VC exculsives) and all the villas. Remember, unless you are a VC member, you can't stay at a VC hotel!!!
Ok, almost every resort on property is themed - so they may give you the headache you are trying to avoid. The themes are part of the fun of being on site. The Swan and Dolphin may be more ';traditional'; styles and more to your taste. I would advise going to disney.com and clicking on the resorts. You can mini tour all the properties. Some of the Vacation Club resorts are also less overwhelming. You also can get an idea for pricing and budget on the site as well.

I suspect I am much older than you and when we go - part of the joy of vacation is the themes. I want to escape when I go there! My favorite is Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I love the animals. I like the beach themes - caribbean and polynesian. Grand Floridian is very victorian and very expensive. Wilderness Lodge lets you feel Outdoorsy. That's my opinions. Now have fun choosing what is best for you!
Well it all depends on your budget. The Contemporary is a wonderful hotel but it can start at $250 a night.

Most of their hotels are themed so there will be alot of decorations.

Go to disneyworld.com and look at all the hotels. You can compare hotels too!
definitely either the swan or the dolphin.
Any of the All-Stars.
Floridian~~it is the coolest for young people~~~and old people
