MOON PALACE!
it's so big there are 2 parts to it, it's all nice, but if you pick this place, try to stay in the part with the bigger pool!! i think it's called sunrise!
the place truly is a palace! we really want to go back! the pool is amazing, it has swim up bars, it's all inclusive, so you can just eat and drink alll day long, the restaurants there are great, there are a lot to choose from! and you can visit other palace resorts as well, no matter which one you stay at! moon palace seems to be more private though, it's kinda set off by itself on it's own, they have their own beach, so if you like a resort that's secluded, you'll love it!!
you won't be disappointed!!
it's very close to the airport too! which is nice!

the riu hotel is good, but if you want to be a week for honeymoon the best place is hotel secreto, is really luxury, nice and isla mujeres is great.

I prefer the ';Presidente Intercontinental'; hotel. It has the best beach in Cancun and is very very nice. There are several attractions nearby also. It is one of the best hotels in Cancun. The Mayan Palace is not so bad either but the beach is not very good. (not as good as in the Presidente Intercontinental)

AMERICANAS fantastic palace close to all the hot spots for
night life or stay at the resort always something going on
best chef's in town. 6 resturants, 2 pools , 5 bars great
service, ocean view suites with balacony. Built in 2002 many
people say it's the best in cancun. and plus you can go to the
Riu Cancun next door and eat or drink in any of there bars or
resturants. If you stay at the Riu Palace Americanas you can.
But if you stay at the Riu Cancun nextdoor you can't go to the
Riu Palace and eat or drink. Alway had room on the beach and
they have wedding out on the beach all the time.

i went to the aventura spa palace in dec....meh no beach, not a lot to do not a great first experience. food was great thou
I prefer the MAYA PALACE, it is about 20 - 30 minutes outside Cancun in Rivera Mayan. It is close to many other attractions but yet secluded enough for a honeymoon. The resort has so much to do in itself that I do not thing you need to go do other things but in case you get boredI recommend the following....
