Why is lucban the best location for a resort hotel?

If a survey was conducted among hoteliers, Lucban will not figure among the top 10 resort hotel locations at all. There are a lot of resort hotels in more popular (arguably better) locations nationwide. To name a few of the best locations for a resort hotel : Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, Siargao, Cebu, Camiguin, Guimaras, the coastal areas of Ilocos, Bataan, Nasugbu, etc.





Even if the end-users (the people, the customers) are polled, Lucban will still, most likely, not figure in the list of best locations if the question does not show a list of options. I mean no one will voluntarily mention Lucban.





But if your point is to rationalize the choice of Lucban as a location for a resort hotel, and only to justify the decision:





1. Lucban is idyllic, and resort-goers may want rustic settings for vacations.


2. Lucban has a lot of nice streams and waterfalls. This is ideal for a resort operation, au naturel.


3. The people of Lucban are nice and welcoming. Resort guests will feel good going around town.


4. Lucban is a destination, especially during the Pahiyas, no matter that this is only a once-a-year event.


5. There is a pancit delicacy in Lucban that can be merchandised as another reason to visit the resort in the place.


6. Lucban is quite near the tourism corridor in Laguna that includes Ugu Bigyan's pottery place, the restaurant of Patis Tesoro in San Pablo, etc. It is an easy hop among weekenders.
