We are from the UK and are thinking about winter sun holiday options for Jan/Feb 2009.How much money should we expect to part with? What are the flight times from the UK. Is Mexico a good place to take a child or should we stick with the good old Canary Islands? Can anyone recommend a resort/hotel in Mexico suitable for 3 year old? Are Mexican resorts geared up for kids?
You can go to Cancun is warm, there is lots of thing to do lots of very nice places where you can take your children.
Trust me Mexico is safe we have problems like all countries but most mexicans are nice.
Just be careful because you can not trust to every body.
Hope you can faint a nice place here in Mexico.

I think some of your questions might be better answered by your travel agent, but... I can tell you for certain that, no matter where you go in Mexico, your child will be treated very well. The culture here is especially kind to little ones and, assuming your little one's not the demon child from hell (she/he's not, right? ;-) ), the staff in most resorts will go out of their way to entertain and accommodate. Also, most large resorts have kid clubs where your child can go for part of the day to play or do crafts or otherwise give you a breather. I think the biggest concern for you, coming from the UK, is how well your child travels. That's a LOOOONG flight!
Go to Mexico, experience something new. The water is clear and warm.
The Mayan Riviera, Cancun area is perfect for a family vacation, you could get a good package at expedia or travelocity. Check prices online before you go. It's cheaper to pre-pay for your hotels online.
Check these 3 towns; Cancun, Playa del Carmen, %26amp; Cozumel.
My little 3 year old niece went there and all she speaks is about her trip to Cancun.
Visit Xcaret in the Mayan Riviera. It's a theme park with many activities for the entire family. Highly recommended to get a tour company and bargain for the price.
To save money, avoid the restaurants at the busy 5ta ave in Playa del Carmen, go around instead.
Cozumel hotels are more affordable than Playa del Carmen hotels but you need to take a ferry to get there.
Remember to go after the holidays Jan 6.
It's up to you how much you want to spend.
I've noticed that every year prices increase everywhere in the world.
Why not take a cruise? The ship is basically a 'floating resort'. Most lines have great itineraries to Mexico and have kids programs that would be fun for a 3 year old. Check out Disney cruise line, NCL and Carnival. Very affordable.
go to www.luxurybeach.com.mx great price great hotel have kids club and also a water park, they have a lot of resorts so ask them for specific information regards what you are looking for. you will love it
