44yr old Looking for a nice place to hangout at the pool and drink some brewski's yet close enough to a town where I can enjoy the nightlife. Willing to travel anywhere in the state of Texas. Any ideas?Where's a good resort hotel in Texas that's not crazy expensive?
I once stayed at a bed and breakfast in San Antonio . Bonner garden. http://www.bonnergarden.com/ it has a 45-foot swimming pool and a full rooftop patio which overlooks downtown San Antonio.Where's a good resort hotel in Texas that's not crazy expensive?

Dallas The W hotel-very cool great bar, and close enough to the Dallas nightlife.
Houston--Hotel Derek runs some great specials online on www.hotels.com its a great location right in the galleria but the pool is small
ALso, The Magnolia is downtown -again great deals on www.hotels.com but the pool is small
Austin--the marriott downtown is nice with a good pool, the Hilton (although a little pricey)
I would do a search on hotwire or hotels.com
