we have two small dogs (12 pounds each) that we always travel with and want to take them with us to Walt Disney World - during the day the park has pet care facilities but, we are wondering about the hotels at the park. Are pets allowed in walt disney world resort hotels?
No, the Disney resorts don't allow pets outside of the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds (and even then, it's only certain loops), sorry. There are plenty off site in Orlando that do however.

They do not allow pets at the resorts. You can't even take them on the bus shuttles to and from the parks. Nor can they ride the Magical Express to and from the airport. We know because we asked about taking our new puppy with us to WDW last month. And their answer was a big no! :(
I did find out that the Disney Good Neighbor hotels in CA do allow pets. We'll probably head over there next and bring our little sweetie with us.
The only resort that allows pets is Fort Wilderness. Only certain areas of this resort are pet-friendly, so be sure to ask for it when making your reservation.

Additionally, there are kennels on-site:

Dog are not allowed on the disney world resort properties. Except for Ft.Wilderness. You must request a pet site when you make your reservations. The charge is $5.00 per day per site. not per pet.
Only in the cabins at the Wilderness Lodge. Other than that, no.
nope.
